Most oversharing does not look dramatic. It looks like a useful prompt, written quickly, with one detail too many.
People do not use AI because they want to leak information. They use it because they are trying to move faster: rewrite this email, summarize this file, check this payment, compare these notes, remember this preference.
The sensitive parts are often mixed into the normal parts. A name beside an address. A reference beside a bank detail. A private plan inside an otherwise harmless question.
That is why AI privacy has to be close to the moment of use. Too early, and it becomes abstract. Too late, and the context has already moved.
